Managing Director

He started as a residential carpenter working on high end renovations and new builds in the Sydney's northern suburbs. He worked his way up through on-site roles to become a Project Manager and then Director. Backed by an Advanced Diploma in Building and Construction Management, Jordan has delivered commercial projects up to $50M, where systems, planning and control are critical. Today he leads Northgate and works closely with clients from early planning through to delivery, applying that commercial rigour to residential projects up to $10M. The size of the build changes, the standard doesn't.

Jordan built Northgate around clear communication and consistency. Phones stay on, questions get straight answers, and proactive updates mean clients always know where things stand. The result is a calmer build, where every step is visible and support continues well after handover.

Outside of work, Jordan stays active through regular training and values being present with friends and family. That same balance of discipline and calm carries into every project Northgate delivers.

chris harrison

Director

Chris leads construction delivery at Northgate and is hands-on throughout the build process.

He started in commercial construction, spending four years on larger-scale projects before moving into residential. Two years after completing his trade, he started his own building company, learning the ropes and running projects end to end. He then spent over 10 years running a custom residential company in Sydney, delivering high-end homes and renovations with close involvement at every stage. That experience gives Chris a practical, builder-led approach and a clear understanding of what it takes to deliver quality outcomes to each of our clients.

At Northgate, Chris oversees site operations while also being closely involved in estimating, early cost planning, and client relations, helping ensure projects are practical, well considered, and buildable from day one.

When he's not on site, Chris is usually out on the ocean or in the water, bringing that same calm, practical mindset and respect for the elements into every build.

Northgate Building Group is a Sydney and Newcastle residential builder run by licensed builders Jordan O'Driscoll and Chris Harrison, who bring close to four decades of combined experience across custom homes, renovations, knockdown rebuilds, and class 2 projects, with in-house design guidance throughout.

We're hands-on builders who run every project ourselves, from the first sketch right through to handover. You deal with us, the person who signs the contract delivers your project.

Between us we've spent close to forty years on site. We've built homes that perform, structures that stand up, and spaces that still look & feel-good years later. We've also seen what happens when communication breaks down, expectations aren't set and people feel left in the dark.

We keep it simple: clear scope, straight advice, honest pricing and quality workmanship done properly.
